History

April 1940 Established Kishimoto Kogyo with 180,000 yen in capital.
November 1946 Renamed the company Daido Chemical Corporation. Developed the first ever vinyl acetate emulsion in Japan at the current Osaka Plant, and started manufacturing and marketing thereof.
October 1947 Started manufacturing and marketing of plastic injection molded products.
April 1948 Started manufacturing and marketing of polyvinyl alcohol and synthetic resin solutions.
June 1948 Increased capital to 1,000,000 yen.
April 1949 Developed a cigarette adhesive in collaboration with the Central Research Institute of Japan Tobacco and Salt Public Corporation, and became a designated supplier.
April 1950 Started manufacturing and marketing of plastic extrusion molded products.
April 1953 Started manufacturing and marketing of copolymer emulsions.
October 1953 Constructed a mold plant and started manufacturing molds to expand the business of the Injection Molding Unit.
July 1955 Established Asahi Polymer Industries in Sumida-ku, Tokyo.
October 1955 Increased capital to 10,000,000 yen.
August 1957 Increased capital to 20,000,000 yen.
August 1960 Increased capital to 40,000,000 yen.
September 1962 Increased capital to 60,000,000 yen.
February 1965 Registered as a JIS-certified plant of vinyl acetate emulsions.
October 1967 Expanded the solvent polymerization plant. Increased capital to 80,000,000 yen.
February 1974 Expanded the powder chemical plant.
July 1974 Increased capital to 110,000,000 yen.
June 1976 Relocated Asahi Polymer Industries to Kasukabe, Saitama from Sumida-ku, Tokyo.
July 1982 Newly opened the Tokyo Sales Office.
September 1982 Constructed a warehouse with automated high-rise shelf system.
January 1984 Injection molding plant was registered as a UL-certified plant.
August 1985 Renovated the injection molding plant to start injection molding of compounded resins.
February 1986 Relocated the Extrusion Molding Unit to the Kasukabe Plant, and started production.
September 1989 Merged with Asahi Polymer Industries. Increased capital to 135,000,000 yen.
September 1991 Completed construction of the Fukui Plant.
November 1991 Increased capital to 210,000,000 yen.
October 1994 Completed construction of a new research building.
October 1999 Expanded the premises and buildings of the Kasukabe Plant.
February 2000 Acquired ISO 9001 certification.
March 2004 Acquired ISO 14001 certification.
December 2007 Established the 2nd Chemical Factory at the Fukui Plant.
February 2012 Established the Life Science Division.
March 2013 Transferred ordering operations from the Tokyo Sales Office to the Kasukabe Plant.
April 2013 Relocated the Tokyo Sales Office to the Tokyo Satellite Office.
